The Capitoline Museum in Rome recently hosted an important exhibition on the life and work of Luca Signorelli, Luca Signorelli and Rome: Oblivion and Rediscovery, which was billed as “a celebration of one of the greatest stars of the Italian Renaissance.” The exhibition was extended in recognition of the importance of Signorelli as the 500th anniversary of his death draws near.
